Meet Dr. Nancy G. Treadwell
Dr. Treadwell is a graduate of Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine (1993).
In June 2025 she joined our team as a full-time associate and brought with her decades of experience in preventative medicine and complex disease.
She worked in general practice for 2 years before entering an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The University of Illinois. She completed her residency training in small animal internal medicine at Purdue University in 1999. Dr. Treadwell moved to Shreveport and opened Shreveport Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2002 – the first Veterinary referral hospital in the Ark-La-Tex.
Her areas of special interest include endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disease, and hematology/oncology. She has extensive training in cardiac and abdominal ultrasound, endoscopy, and cytology. In addition Dr. Treadwell believes in understanding all of a patient’s medical problems and how they impact their quality of life.
She has two cats named Butterbean and Littles.
